Hi, this is my first EVER critique! So I'll try my best
When I first look at this Mulan doesn't come to play in my mind until I see the title. Though it still has the characteristics of what Mulan is and were it takes place, China. When you look at the colours you think of the beautiful geisha girls, though the way the lips are done they are done a certain way when achieving the geisha look, were the lips are smaller and not as full body like how the lips made here. Though still beautiful in your own way. The dragon must of been hard to do and I like how its placed. The branches are more of an eye sore and maybe instead of using gems or little beads you could of painted little cherry blossoms ,and then maybe the effect of were you were going for would take place. Though I'd imagine painting each flower would only be a pain and the easy way out would to use the little gems. Since this is just the lips there is not to much you can do with out over doing it. Its still beautiful and stunning I just think more effort could of been put into it to make it more eye opening.
Well I hope I did ok I just love your work and don't stop cause your genius is my inspiration <3
Hey... Hm hm! So, this is my first critique. Your art is very beautiful, but it's true I don't really recognize Mulan theme in here... Mulan is Chinese, right? (This is not a critique over you) I think cherry blossoms are for Japan. The cherry tree may look a bit like a mustache, seeing it from far. I think it should be placed like... next, to the sides of the eyes? I think there's too much stuff around the lips and there's nothing on it... I admit the Dragon is really well done. It would be more original if it was on the lips, but I guess it's really too hard to do. :/ And I think puting plastic gems for the cherry blossoms is a great idea and original, but I think it(s not very comfortable having sticky suffs over the mouth. I'm not a make up genius! Your art is still beautiful and hard to make, congratulations!
PS: The cherry tree branches are sometimes a bit erased at some parts.
